Train #1998 creeps across the last standing trestle bridge left on the Western Valley line. Krystal Lake's beautiful crystal blue waters gleam in the afternoon sun. Many times, engineers feel the need to go for a quick dip, and stopping in Krystal Lake is the perfect opportunity to jump in and cool off. The water is acually molding rubber with a thin layer of nail polish (my wife still bugs me about that) and Testor's Mettalic Blue paint. It turned out beautifully. As you can see by the row boat by the dock, that not only the swimmer can enjoy Krystal Lake's beauty.
